What is Fish Supper?
Why it matters
Our crews are ready to drop everything – even their supper – at a moment’s notice to go to the rescue of people in trouble on the water. The money you raise when you host a Fish Supper supports all aspects of our lifesaving work and could help us buy kit for our crew members or fuel for one of our lifeboats.
Events like Fish Supper raise vital funds that ensure this work can continue. Every year, our volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards help and rescue thousands of people and have saved over 143,900 lives since 1824.
We couldn't save lives without you. Here's what we achieved thanks to your donations:
8,868 lifeboat launches in 2021
35 people saved a day on average in 2021
245 UK and Channel Island beaches patrolled in 2021
40,762 beachgoers aided by lifeguards in 2021
How you can help support our crews
Anyone can be a lifesaver, even from dry land. If you are unable to host or attend a Fish Supper, but would still like to support our cause, contact your local branch to see how you can help or simply donate what you can.
In 2021, our lifeboat crews aided an average of 35 people a day and our lifeguards aided 40,762 people. Your time and generosity helps save lives like these at sea.
