Our crew

Guy took over as the full-time Coxswain on 1st July 2018. 11th Coxswain of Bembridge. Re-joined the RNLI in 2009 previous to being Coxswain, Guy was a Marine Officer on Pilot Launches for Associate British Ports and has extensive knowledge of the Solent and local area.

James is our deputy Assistant ALB/ILB coxswain assessor and trainer. A local property developer who has lived here all his life and has been an active member for over 20 years.

John is our full-time mechanic. The Lifeboats are in his blood. He is the fourth generation and soon his son will join us too. John grew up in Bembridge and makes an ideal trainer for local knowledge. John follows his ancestors who've been previous Bembridge Coxswains and crew.

 Dawn is our 1st female ILB helm and ALB crew. A professional sports massage and soft tissue therapist during the day. 

Steve is our assistant mechanic and a former teacher. Having no previous sea experience, he joined Bembridge RNLI and soon became a valued member of the team.

 Martin is a retired policeman and now an ambulance technician. He is also a motorcycle instructor. An active member of the ALB crew, navigator and trainer.

Ken is now retired and has been with us for over 12 years and is a very experienced ALB crew member.

Justin is another of our assistant mechanics and a local property developer.
