About the museum

Salcombe Lifeboat Museum tells the story of over 140 years of courageous lifesaving history in the town. Find out about the award-winning rescues and lifeboat disasters, through to the First and Second World Wars and onto the modern-day lifeboat service in Salcombe. 

The museum shares the building with an RNLI shop – so don’t forget to stop by and pick up the perfect gift.
