Henry Blogg: Legendary lifesaver

A look at the life of Henry Blogg, the most decorated lifesaver in RNLI history

One of the greatest figures in RNLI history, Henry Blogg was a volunteer at Cromer Lifeboat Station who, alongside his crew, saved 873 lives. During his 53 years at the station, Henry was awarded three Gold Medals and four Silver Medals for Gallantry, as well as the British Empire Medal and the George Cross for his lifesaving during the Second World War. He's become an iconic figure for the RNLI and his story continues to inspire lifesavers today.
