Teenagers make lifesaving 999 call

If you saw someone in trouble in the water, would you know what to do?

When a group of teenagers spotted two swimmers being swept out to sea in an offshore current, they made the right call. Using a lifering, they were able to pull the swimmers to the harbour wall and dial 999 to ask for the Coastguard

Thanks to their quick-thinking, Hastings RNLI were then able to rescue the swimmers from the rocks. The eight teenagers have since been honoured for their brave actions.
