Missing person in tender on the River Clyde

Whilst en route it was reported that two persons in another tender were missing in the same locale.

The second tender and two occupants were found attached to a mooring buoy and were picked up by the lifeboat at 2350 hours. It appears they were related to the original missing person and were searching for him.

The search continued for the original missing person with the assistance of HM Coastguard helicopter, police launches and other vessels. In view of the length of time the search had continued, and the challenging weather conditions, the lifeboat crew were changed and the search continued. As there had been no result to the search the lifeboat was stood down by HM Coastguard at 0355 hours with a view to resuming the search in daylight hours. The lifeboat was refuelled and was ready for service at 0424 hours.

At 1050 hours on Sunday 8^th December 2019 the lifeboat resumed the shore search from Cardross to Helensburgh/Rhu. Nothing was found.
