RNLI lifeguards are patrolling daily across south east Dorset beaches
In anticipation of the busy summer season, RNLI lifeguards will be patrolling beaches across the south east Dorset area during the summer holidays.
In Boscombe, East and West beaches, Avon, East Cliff, Canford Cliffs and Manor Steps, lifeguards will be patrolling daily from 6th July to 1st September.
Bournemouth East and West beaches and Sandbanks have had daily lifeguard patrols since 6th April, whilst Durley Chine, Southbourne, Fisherman’s Walk, Alum Chine and Branksome Chine have had daily lifeguard patrols since 25th May.
Kester Sheppard, RNLI Lead Lifeguard Supervisor for Poole, said, ‘With this summer predicted to be hot, we are expecting the beaches to be very busy during the holidays. Our lifeguards will be available from 10am-6pm every day to ensure that everyone can enjoy the weather in safety.
‘It is important that you swim between the red and yellow flags when in the sea and pay attention to the lifeguards’ advice. It isn’t to stop you having a good time, but to help save your life.’
