Burry Port's D Class 'Diane Hilary' called to action
On the 23rd April, Burry Port's D class inshore lifeboat was tasked by Milford Haven UK Coastguard to assist three young persons cut off on a sandbank by the fast incoming tide.
The tasking came at 6.02pm, and the 'Diane Hilary' with three crew members, was launched and on scene by 6.12pm.
The casualties were on a sandbank in the Old Harbour Pembrey, were quickly located and transported back to Burry Port Harbour, where they were met by the local UK CG team and Dyfed Powys Police Officers.
No medical assistance was required, the lifeboat was quickly recovered, with the able shore crew maintaining their 'social distancing' requirements
