Great Yarmouth and Gorleston paged to local fishing boat with engine failure

Lifeboats News Release

The RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston was tasked at 7.04pm on 9 June 2020 by UK Coastguard, to a fishing vessel in the Outer Harbour area.

The Trent class ‘Samarbeta' with its volunteer crew onboard made their way to the vessel, which was drifting towards rocks at the Outer Harbour.

Time was of the essence to secure a tow to clear the rock area. Once the tow rope was secured, the lifeboat towed the vessel safely back to its mooring in Gorleston.
