Boxes of chocolates left for RNLI volunteers when they returned from a early morning call out.
Its been a busy week of call outs at Morecambe Lifeboat Station. The volunteer crew returned to station this morning to find a surprises awaiting. A member of the public had placed boxes of chocolates on the windscreens of our RNLI crew members. This was a very appreciated act of generosity, it made our volunteers smile.

RNLI crews are prepared to drop everything and risk their lives to save others at a moment's notice and the RNLI have saved over 142,700 lives since 1824 but we’re more than a rescue service. The RNLI influence, supervise and educate people too. Our Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast.

As a station we would publicly like to thank the kind person who put the boxes of chocolates on the windscreens. The crew were very grateful of this kind gesture, as you can see in the photo.

With your support, we save lives at sea.
