Criccieth Lifeboat respond to causality with lower-leg injury

The Station launched their Atlantic 85-class Lifeboat, Doris Joan, and headed towards the casualty’s position. Once on-scene the Crew were assisted by an off-duty nurse who was passing on her own vessel and had provided initial care as well as two others who were with the casualty already. Following further treatment, the casualty was transferred ashore and into the care of Barmouth’s HM coastguard team to await the arrival of ambulance.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts.
