Kilkeel RNLI aid two fishermen on stranded fishing boat on Carlingford Lough

In good conditions, Kilkeel RNLI's volunteer crew launched their lifeboat to aid two fishermen on a 25ft fishing boat out of Carlingford. The fishermen were lifting creels just off Cranfield Point, Carlingford Lough, when the boat’s propeller became fouled by a rope and was unable to move.
Unable to release the rope they requested help.
Arriving at the fishing boat, the crew having asked if the men were fine went about the task of freeing the rope from the propeller.
Two of the crew entered the water and successfully cut the rope away and checking that all was alright, the lifeboat crew then proceeded back to the lifeboat station.
