Barmouth inshore lifeboat (ILB) launch to persons in difficulty in the water
The pagers sounded at 2.44pm and the volunteer crew of ILB Craig Steadman were tasked by HM Coastguard to reports of persons in difficulty in the waters near Talybont.
Launching with excellent visibility the crew arrived on scene to find the casualties, an adult and two children to be ashore.
Coastguard rescue helicopter 936 had landed and the volunteer RNLI crew assisted R936 paramedic with the casualties. The crew walked the casualties to the helicopter and departed the scene. The three casualties were flown to Bangor for treatment.
