Thurso RNLI Lifeboat tows yacht with engine failure 25 miles

The yacht with four crew members on board was last reported five nautical miles west of Strathy Point drifting towards the shore. The Taylors with its volunteer crew arrived on scene at 10.50am and secured a rope onto the vessel. The 40 ft yacht was then towed back to Scrabster where it was tied up at the pontoon at 1.45pm. The Taylors was made ready for service at 2pm.
