Teignmouth RNLI launch to aid of kite surfer in the River Teign
Sunday 20 March saw the launch of the Teignmouth Lifeboat, The Two Annes and her volunteer crew to assist a reported casualty in the River Teign.
The volunteer crew arrived quickly on the scene to find that the casualty had already been helped to the shore by a family member who was also out kite surfing at the time. Two members of the crew headed to shoreline to check the casualty was well and that no further treatment would be required.
The lifeboat then returned to station where the boat was back on service by 11:55.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands.
