With the two year anniversary on the 1st November marking the arrival of Invergordon’s Shannon class Lifeboat – RNLI 13-37 ‘Agnes AP Barr’, the crew gathered to pay their respects to the 9500 names listed on the lifeboat's hull.

The crew assembled by the full decal sign at the front of the station, which is an exact replica of Agnes AP Barr’s hull numbers, complete with all the names on the RNLI's first Launch a Memory campaign to show their respect, with Deputy Launching Authority Andrew Shepherd placing the wreath in decorative lifeboat colours to remember those named our the Port and Starboard sides of the hull before a moments silence on each side.

Andrew Shepherd, RNLI Launching Authority for Invergordon said: ‘It was an honour and privilege to place the wreath today and remember those who sail with us each time the lifeboat goes to sea. It has been two years since the Shannon came on station in November 2020 and crew have adapted well and the lifeboat has seen varying service calls in her operational life. It has also been lovely to see visitors back, as the station began operating the Lifeboat Tours earlier this year, allowing guests to get up close and learn about the Lifeboat, its capabilities and pay respects to their loved ones on the hull.'
