The money was raised from a charity raffle organised to coincide with a function that was held on 14th September where the draw took place. The raffle prizes were donated by Suppliers, Subcontractors, S FABS, and others.

S FABS have had a long history employing Selsey RNLI lifeboat crew for many years with the founder of the company the late Brian Male being a crewman himself in the 1960s. There are currently 2 crewman and a Deputy Launch Authority/Press officer working at the company’s base at Ferry yard. The cheque was presented by Tony Male MD and Tom Male Commercial Director.

Selsey Lifeboat Operations Manager Tony Delahunty said the money would be used to buy or replace equipment carried by the two lifeboats stationed at Selsey. He also said he was extremely grateful for the continued support from S FABS in allowing the three employees to respond to the pagers.
