Sale of book raises £1000

Written by life long supporter and volunteer Pau Arro, the book 'Safe Within the Lifeboat' was published earlier this year with all profits donated to Flamborough RNLI. The book chronicles the history of Flamborough lifeboats from 1871 until 1993, when the last all-weather lifeboat left the station at North Landing.

There are still copies of the book available, costing £12.99 and can be obtained from the Tuck shop and Post Office in Flamborough, the RNLI shop at the lifeboat station, South Landing and at the Harbour Heritage museum, Bridlington harbour. Copies can be ordered directly from Paul Arro

Paul presented a cheque for £1000 to Dave Freeman, Lifeboats Operations Manager, Flamborough RNLI.

Paul said he is pleased how the book has sold and hopes to raise more funds for Flamborough RNLI as the remaining copies are sold.
