Join the Crew for a fundraising Yellow Welly Walk and BBQ
On the 21st May at 11am along Aberystwyth Promenade take part in our inclusive fun mayday mile and get your medal.
Aberystwyth Lifeboat Station present their first May Day Mile walk as part of the national RNLI Mayday Campaign to help raise vital funds for saving lives at sea.
Taking place along the full length of the promenade, the Aberystwyth May Day Mile has to be one of the most picturesque with views over Eryri and Cardigan Bay.
Event Details
The event is designed to be fully inclusive and accessible, utilising a virtually flat course with no gates or steps.
The event is free for those under 3 years of age and for anyone attending as a registered carer for a participant(please still book them a ticket).
Prams and well behaved dogs are also welcome(max. 2 per participant)!
The theme is yellow and / or wellies. The brighter the better!

Tickets are £10 each for adults and £5 for children, you can secure you place via Eventbrite where tickets are limited!

Registration is at 11.00am at the bottom of Constitution Hill, with a safety briefing at 11.15am with the first wave of participants set to start at 11.30am. There is a 1 hour cut off time for participants. If you do not feel you are able to complete the distance in the allocated time, please contact us.
Upon completion of the walk, participants will receive a bespoke finishers’ medal.Catering
A BBQ will be available at the Lifeboat Station (the finish line!) for you to buy any refreshments after the event.
In the event of a MET Office weather warning, the event will be cancelled.

Key facts about the RNLI
The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands.
