Local brewery names beer in honour of Calshot RNLI for Bands In The Boatshed
The Vibrant Forest Brewery has named a special beer to mark them hosting the annual Bands In The Boatshed event being held on 26 August.
The local brewery, a long-standing supporter of Calshot RNLI stepped in to offer to host the event when logistical challenges meant that the event could not be held at Calshot Lifeboat Station.
Volunteer crew from Calshot RNLI were invited to name the brew and after a series of votes, decided on the name Out On A Shout.
Event organiser and Calshot RNLI volunteer crew member Andy Bean said: ‘We were delighted when the Vibrant Forest Brewery offered to brew a special beer for the event and offered the chance for us to name it. There were a number of creative suggestions from the crew, however we settled on Out On A Shout and look forward to seeing it on sale at Bands In The Boatshed this weekend.’
Vibrant Forest Brewery General Manager, Ryan Dack added: ‘Out On A Shout has been brewed on our pilot kit specifically for Bands In The Boatshed. A boatload of hops have been combined in this no-nonsense IPA fermented on a fruity English yeast and backed up with a solid bitter bite. We are excited to be supporting the RNLI with this event and hope that supporters enjoy the special beer at the event.’
Bands In The Boatshed takes place at the Vibrant Forest Brewery in Hardley from 12.00pm on Saturday 26 August and features local bands. Entry is free with the opportunity to donate on the gate to Calshot RNLI.
