Lizard RNLI Host Annual Christmas Carolaire

After an absence of three years it was wonderful to be able to host our Christmas Carolaire again at The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station on Friday evening.

Visitors were welcomed in to the station and treated to an evening of festive carol singing accompanied by Helston Town Band and the children from Landewednack School Choir. Seasonal refreshments were served and the event was again hailed as a great festive success.

Our grateful thanks and appreciation go to the Rev Deirdre Mackrill who compared the evening aboard RNLB “Rose”, Helston Town Band, the children from Landewednack School Choir, Zoar Garage and their minibus driver Warren and Euro Tool Helston for providing the lighting system on the road leading up to the station.

Thank you to everyone who came and began their Christmas festivities with us.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives.
