Walton & Frinton RNLI personnel gather for presentation evening

Lifeboat crew from Walton & Frinton RNLI station, recently gathered at Frinton Golf Club for a presentation evening.

Letters of Service, long service medals and other items were handed out by station Chairman Philip Oxley who also made a short speech thanking everyone for their hard work and dedication.

Among those receiving awards were Russell Bettany and Gary Edwards who each received 40-year long service medals.

Letters of Service were presented to Trevor Halls (44 years), Kevin Bruce (33 years), Richard Wyatt (29 years), John Hale (14 years), Sam Bettany, Gary Openshaw, and Tony Peters who have each served eight years and Brian Hosford who has served five years on the team.

A presentation was also made to Stewart Oxley on behalf of the crew in thanks for his many years service at the station as Chairman and Operations Manager.

After the presentations the crew and their families enjoyed dancing to local band, The Landed.
