Padstow RNLI volunteers launch to a yacht heading for shore
At 9.40pm on Tuesday 4 July Padstow lifeboat crew launched to reports of a yacht dragging its anchor and heading for shore at Polzeath.
Once on scene, it was clear that the yacht was already ashore and the two crew on board were being helped to the safety of the cliff tops by Polzeath coastguard team.
Padstow RNLI lifeboat stood by until everyone was safely on the cliff tops and then returned to the station, refuelled and ready for service by 11.10pm.
Also tasked was Rescue Helicopter 924, Rock RNLI lifeboat and Padstow coastguard.
