Broughty Ferry RNLI hosts The Boatshed Brick Exhibition
A Dundee artist has spent hundreds of hours creating Lego versions of landmarks in Broughty Ferry, with proceeds going to Broughty Ferry RNLI.
Local Artist, Steve Page, launched the exhibition after wanting to raise money and awareness for the local RNLI lifeboat station.
The exhibition features custom built models from basic sketches or memory, without the aid of any instructions or design software.
As part of the exhibition, Steve has created an all-weather lifeboat and the RNLI lifeboat station, as well as shops, landmarks and other marine-related items.
Pete Hay, Coxswain at Broughty Ferry RNLI, says: ‘Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition at the lifeboat station. Visitors are invited to come inside, perhaps meet some of our crew and view the collection of models built specifically for this exhibition.
‘Many hours of work by Steve have done into building these incredible models from Lego bricks, and we are very grateful to Steve for choosing to raise money for Broughty Ferry RNLI.’
The exhibition runs from Monday 10 July until Saturday 15 July, 10am until 2pm daily. Visitors are asked for a suggested donation of £2 per adult and £1 per child.
