Busy period for the volunteers of RNLI Burnham-on-Crouch continues

The Atlantic class lifeboat Tony and Robert Britt was launched and proceeded to scene where they arrived within 10 minutes of launching.

The casualty sailing boat was located ashore just to the west of Fambridge pontoon where a volunteer crew member from RNLI Burnham-on-Crouch was placed onboard the casualty to assess any damage.

After the situation was assessed, the casualty sailing boat was then taken under tow and safely moored on the pontoon with the assistance of South Woodham Coastguard. The RNLI crew returned to station at approximately 11pm and made the lifeboat ready for the next service.

Then it was an early start on Sunday morning 16 July for the RNLI volunteers, when they took both the D class and Atlantic class lifeboat Tony and Robert Britt to a pre-arranged representation at the Up River Yacht Club regatta.
