RNLI Inverness City Day raises over £1,000
On Saturday 17 June, volunteers from Kessock, Loch Ness and Invergordon RNLI hosted the RNLI Inverness City Day to raise money and awareness for the charity.
The day, hosted at Falcon Square between 9am and 6pm, gave members of the public the opportunity to meet with RNLI volunteers and learn more about water safety ahead of the school holidays.
Water Safety Officer for Kessock RNLI, Debbie, is responsible for delivering and sharing water safety information to the local community, and during the Inverness City Day, spoke to over 165 people, providing them with leaflets to take away too.
Frances Beveridge, RNLI Community Manager for North Scotland, says: ‘The day was a huge success and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to come down and meet with our lifesaving volunteers. Not only did we raise an incredible amount for the local lifeboat stations, but we also delivered vital water safety information that could help to save lives.’
