RNLI Burnham-on-Crouch assist fishing vessel taking on water
RNLI Burnham-on-Crouch volunteers were tasked by HM Coastguard at 5.33pm on Saturday 24 June to assist a fishing motor vessel that had sustained an ingress of water with two males onboard.
The Atlantic class lifeboat Tony and Robert Britt was launched and proceeded to rendezvous with the casualty vessel that was being escorted by a passing vessel close to Holliwell Point.
Two volunteer crew members from RNLI Burnham-on-Crouch were placed on the casualty vessel to assist with the bailing out of the water intake and proceeded to escort the casualty vessel into Burnham Marina where they arrived safely at approximately 7pm.
