He began his epic challenge on Saturday 6 May and completed 105 miles on the first day. On his second day, he completed 111 miles, 110 miles on his third day and 127 on the fourth day. He camped each night and finished the final 67 miles on Wednesday 10 May.
Peter Hay, Coxswain at Broughty Ferry RNLI Lifeboat Station, says: ‘All of us here at Broughty Ferry RNLI are incredibly proud of Tom’s achievement of cycling the NC500 on a pedal bike in just 5 days. He has raised an incredible amount for our lifeboat station and continues to be a true asset to our volunteer crew – thank you Tom!’
