For more than 40 years Portpatrick Lifeboat Week has been an annual highlight for the village of Portpatrick and surrounding area. The week-long event is held to raise funds in support of the RNLI and provides fun and entertainment for visitors and locals.

A variety of events are held throughout the week including lifeboat tours, rescue demonstrations, the extremely popular race night, firework display and much more.

Ian Beck, Chairman of Portpatrick Lifeboat said, ‘Preparations are well underway for this year’s Lifeboat Week which will be held Monday 31 July – Sunday 6 August 2023. As always, the aim of Lifeboat Week is to raise funds for the RNLI in support of their mission to continue saving lives at sea. Every year we receive incredible support from local businesses in and around Portpatrick which is critical to the success of lifeboat week. This year we understand is more difficult than most and we felt it was important that we presented our sponsorship opportunities and the benefits our sponsors can expect from their continued partnership. We would like to invite all local businesses or anyone who is interested in supporting lifeboat week to join us on Thursday 15 June at 7.30pm at the Portpatrick Hotel for Prosecco and Canapés followed by a short presentation about what we have in store for this year’s lifeboat week and the sponsorship packages we are offering.’

Anyone who is unable to attend the event but would like more information on sponsorship packages can contact Ian Beck on 07808 860393 or via email [email protected]
