Tynemouth RNLI's Deputy Coxswain Mark Taylor to feature on 200 voices podcast
Tynemouth RNLI's Deputy Coxswain, Mark Taylor is to feature on the charity's new podcast, 200 voices on Sunday 5 November recounting his time as a navigator on the furthest shout on record.
Mark talks about his time as a navigator on the furthest shout the RNLI has ever undertaken and the trials of finding a fishing boat that far out.
In the gripping recount of the rescue, which took place in June 2015, Mark explains everything that went on before and during the extensive rescue.
Mark, an artist based on the North Shields Fish Quay also takes inspiration from his time on the lifeboat in his artwork, which he recounts in the podcast.
Mark's father, Dallas Taylor was also a successful artist and lifeboat crew at Blyth. Mark goes into detail about what it was like being the son of a lifeboatman.
Episode number 80 of the podcast which features Mark, will be on all streaming services on the 5 November, and can be listened to on the RNLI website.
