Girvan lifeboat's volunteer crews pagers sounded after activation by Uk Coastguard Belfast MRCC at the request of Police Scotland.
Reports were received of a vulnerable casualty in the water at Croy Shore just to the North Of Culzean Castle.
Making best speed Girvan Lifeboat headed up the coast to join with other assets who were on shore.
Shortly after arrival Girvan Lifeboat was joined by Coastguard Rescue Helicopter R199
After a successful extrication of the casualty by rescue teams the helicopter landed on the shoreline and shortly after conveyed the casualty to Hospital.
Girvan lifeboat along with other assets then stood down and returned to their respective bases.
Girvan lifeboat was washed, refuelled and made ready for the next service call.
This was a successful multi agency operation, that resulted in a life saved, a testament to the high standard of training and collaboration of all the agencies involved.
