Great Yarmouth and Gorleston RNLI Lifeboat Station have four shouts in one day

On Tuesday 14 November 2023, Great Yarmouth and Gorleston RNLI station were tasked by Humber Coastguard to assist with four separate incidents.

The call outs were at 10:43am, 11:40am, 12:41pm and 6:56pm.

The inshore lifeboat (ILB) John Rowntree was tasked by Humber Coastguard as part of a multi-agency shout for all four calls.

Although the first three were in quick succession, one after another, the crew and Shore Crew were ready and available at very short notice.

Rod Wells, Station Mechanic and 2nd Coxswain said: 'All calls to the Coastguard today were made with good intentions. Never be afraid to call the Coastguard if you see something you are concerned about. The crew are available 24-hours-a- day, seven days a week.

· Tilt your head back with ears submerged.

· Relax and move your hands to help you stay afloat.
