Porthdinllaen RNLI launched to assist struggling kayakers.
Porthdinllaen RNLI Lifeboat were tasked at 3:15pm to reports of two kayakers struggling off Porthdinllaen Headland
Arriving on scene within minutes of launching, the lifeboat found two kayakers struggling to make any headway against the spring ebb tide. Coxswain Owain Williams decided to carefully approach the kayakers and with great skill managed to get alongside both. Both the kayakers and their occupants were taken onboard the all-weather lifeboat and taken back to the safety of the boathouse.
Coxswain Owain Williams added 'As always we urge anybody taking to see, check your local tides and forecast and ensure that you have means to call for assistance should you be unfortunate to find yourself in danger'.
