Aberdeen RNLI to host fundraising ceilidh with Scottish Fiddle Orchestra
Following a successful fundraising event held at Union Square which raised over £1000 for the local lifeboat station in 2023, the two organisations are joining forces once again to host a similar event at Union Square followed by a Ceilidh at the Station Hotel.
The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra is one of Scotland’s foremost musical organisations, made up of players from all over the country including the north east. The orchestra’s twin objectives are the promotion of traditional Scottish music and raising money for charities, including the RNLI.
Taking place on 20th April 2024, the event promises an evening filled with traditional Scottish music, lively dancing, delicious food and, most importantly, the opportunity to raise funds for the local RNLI lifeboat station in Aberdeen.
Attendees are invited to dust off their dancing shoes and prepare for an unforgettable night of entertainment. Event details:

For those unable to attend the ceilidh, the duo will be performing during the day at Union Square, which is free to attend.
Powered primarily by donations, the RNLI’s search and rescue service has been saving lives at sea for over 200 years. The RNLI relies on thousands of dedicated volunteers around the UK to run its lifesaving service. Separate from the coastguard and independent of government, the RNLI is a charity with one aim – to save every one – with volunteers giving up their time 24/7, 365 days.
