Becoming a volunteer is a great chance to play a crucial part in helping to save lives. If you are enthusiastic then you could be an important part of the crew at Largs RNLI, contributing towards the future of the charity and inspiring the next generation of crew.
In particular, the charity’s station at Largs is looking for new volunteers to take up roles including:

Volunteer Inshore Lifeboat crew.
For our Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat operating 24/7. You will be at the heart of the action responding to the pager when needed, heading out to sea whatever the hour, whatever the weather.

Volunteer Launch Authority.
You will be the point of contact for HM Coastguard at the station 24/7. Authorising and overseeing all aspects of a launch from shore. From when an emergency call comes in, to the point the lifeboat has returned, refuelled and ready again for service.

Volunteer Water Safety Assistants.
You will form part of the team giving vital safety advice to members of the public at various events and shows.

Volunteer Fundraiser
Working within the crew as part of our fundraising team you will be helping to raise funds in the community by participating in regular fundraising events from bingo to our annual station open day. Every pound raised supports the sea-going crew in continuing to save lives at sea.
