The Penmon Mobile coastguard unit who had already been tasked and was on scene requested that the lifeboat be launched to assist the vessel

The lifeboat launched and proceeding to the area, placing a crew member aboard the casualty vessel to assist when she refloated. This was achieved at approximately 9.50 pm and the lifeboat then escorted the craft back to her mooring.

Once this was safely completed, at 10.03 pm the lifeboat was released by the Coastguard to return to station and it was back at Beaumaris Lifeboat Station to be refuelled and cleaned.

A RNLI spokesperson said: ‘this was an excellent example of the cooperation between the lifeboat volunteers and the Penmon Mobile Coastguard team who attended the lifeboat station for the debrief once the lifeboat had been prepared for her next call out.’
