Seahouses lifeboat called to Holy Island
At 4:27pm on Sunday 28 April 2024, UK Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses all-weather lifeboat, to assist the North East Ambulance Service reach a casualty on Holy Island.
The lifeboat launched and made best speed to Holy Island, where the local Coastguard Rescue Team were waiting to transport the paramedic to the casualty’s location.
The injured person was assessed and given medical assistance. It was decided that the casualty did not require to be evacuated by lifeboat on this occasion. The lifeboat was released and returned to station.
