Arranmore RNLI responds to call for medical evacuation

Just days after the Arranmore RNLI volunteer crew carried out a 26 hour mission in challenging weather conditions they were again called out to assist with a medical evacuation from the island this evening (Thursday 8 February) at 7pm.

Following the third call out for the crew in as many days, lifeboat Coxswain Seán O'Donnell said: 'This was a quick call which we were pleased to respond to following our long service on Sunday. We are always ready to answer the call no matter what it is.'

Crew on board were, Coxswain Seán O’ Donnell, mechanic Philip Mc Cauley, Brian Proctor, Seamus Bonner, Sharon O’Donnell, Mickey Dubh Mc Hugh and Seán Sammy Gallagher.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts.
