Fraserburgh RNLI volunteers join emergency services for missing person search
Fraserburgh RNLI lifeboat was tasked by HM Coastguard to assist in a search for a missing person on Saturday 17 February.
The lifeboat made good speed along the coast but as the volunteer crew were just approaching Troup Head they were stood down by HM Coastguard as the missing person had been found safe and well at around 8:30pm
Vic Sutherland, Fraserburgh RNLI Coxswain said: 'We’re all pleased that the missing person was found safe and well. Our volunteer crew are always ready to respond to a request to launch whenever we might be able to assist'
Vic also added: 'This was Linzi Smart's first shout since completing her training and gaining her pager. Well done Linzi and great to see new faces onboard.
The Willie & May Gall returned to Fraserburgh RNLI Lifeboat Station and was refuelled and ready for its next service at 9:30pm
