The volunteer crew assembled and Trent class RNLI all-weather lifeboat RNLB Jim Moffat to support Largs inshore lifeboat Atlantic 85 ‘R A Wilson’ and Coastguard Teams.

With the all-weather lifeboat heading to the scene, the crew were informed by Belfast Coastguard that the assistance of the all-weather lifeboat was no longer required and the crew could return to Troon.

With this information, the lifeboat returned to Troon where it was made ‘ready for service’ with the assistance of the shore crew.
