On Monday 4 March 2024 the RNLI will celebrate its 200 year anniversary. Our volunteer crew will commence the 200 nautical mile rowing challenge on Saturday 9 March at 12:00 until Sunday the 10 March 12:00.
Starting at 12:00 on Saturday 9 March the crew will take it in turns on rowing machines at the station for 24 hours to cover the distance or go beyond.
We are looking to have 4 rowing machines set up and will monitor the progress made in turn on each machine until we complete the 200 nautical miles, The equivalent of 370,400 meters.
Please come down past to the station to support our volunteer crew carrying out this exceptional challenge.
We are looking to raise funds along the way to allow us to continue saving lives at sea for the years to come. We have set up a JustGiving page so our many followers can support our volunteers as they set out on this challenge, please follow the link below and give whatever you can.
