Nicky, from Treasured Gifts in Arbroath, creates handcrafted gifts, such as dog toys, leads, bowls and mats from reclaimed rope either washed up on beaches or from old fishing gear.

The generous donation is 10% of Nicky’s sales at recent craft fares.

In addition, Nicky also donated one of his stunning hand crafted mats to the crew.

Lifeboat operations manager, Ron Churchill, said “We would like to say a big thank you to Nicky for his donation. What he does is fantastic, and not only benefits us here at Arbroath lifeboats of course, but also the environment by collecting and repurposing old rope that has been washed up on local beaches”.

“The money raised will go towards making sure our crew are trained and equipped to continue helping those at sea.”
