Berwick-upon-Tweed RNLI crew in Pantomime
It was a busy week for members of Berwick-upon-Tweed RNLI crew when they took part in local Spittal Variety Group's Sleeping Beauty Pantomime.
RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager Kevin Knox, had the busy job as Stage Manager, Deputy Launching Authority Gordon Blackett was at front of house, Deputy Launching Authority Calvin Sutherland with Shore Crew Hazel and Corri Bettison were part of the cast along with RNLI fundraiser Jennifer Wood in charge of props.
This year's annual event was staged in new surroundings at the Haven Holiday Park who are supporting the RNLI across the country.
Spittal Variety Group has said that they will support Berwick-upon-Tweed RNLI with making a donation from the donations received at the end of each show.
RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, Kevin Knox said: ‘We were so pleased our pagers did not go off although we had plenty other crew at the ready. It is fantastic that we have not one but two groups willing to support the work of the RNLI it is very much appreciated. The final curtain has come down so it's now back to business, saving lives at sea.’
