Refit for Southwold RNLI lifeboat Annie Tranmer
On Monday 29 January a relief lifeboat arrived at Southwold Lifeboat Station on the back of an RNLI lorry to take the place of the current Atlantic 85 Annie Tranmer.
Over the next few months Annie Tranmer will undergo an extensive refit before returning to Southwold. In the meantime relief lifeboat Edna May, will undertake training and service duties for Southwold RNLI
At the Inshore Lifeboat Centre in Cowes a team of 70 highly skilled staff work to build and maintain up to 80 lifeboats each and every year.
Anyone wishing to keep up with the progress of Annie Tranmer's refit can follow along via the Inshore Lifeboat Centre webcams which cover each stage of the refit. https://rnli.org/what-we-do/lifeboats-and-stations/building-our-lifeboats/inshore-lifeboat-centre
