Welcome aboard to our new Lifeboat Management Group Chair

Lifeboats News Release

Sheerness RNLI Lifeboat station is pleased to welcome Clare Burgess into her role as Lifeboat Management Group Chair for the station.

Our new LMG Chair.

RNLI/Vic Booth

Clare Burgess.

Clare has varied experience working in the Charity/Voluntary Sector and has also volunteered at many levels across Local and National charities.

In her day job Clare is the Chief Executive of an assistive technology company and has just been announced as a Kent Women in Business Finalist in the Leadership and Management category.

We would like to wish her good luck for the awards event on the 8th March.

Having spent most of her childhood summers in North Wales and Cornwall Clare always loved visiting the local lifeboat stations. When she moved to the Island almost 20 years ago one of the first things that stuck in her mind was a crew member responding to their pager in Tesco’s.

This memory stayed with her and when Clare heard that there was a vacancy for the volunteer role of LMG Chair at the Sheerness boathouse, and that she was now in the position to be able to contribute, she offered to become involved and we are pleased to welcome her to our Sheerness RNLI Lifeboat ‘family’.

Clare says she is delighted to be able to support her local RNLI Lifeboat Station at Sheerness.

Welcome aboard Clare.
