RNLI 200 years celebration diary dates at Berwick-upon-Tweed

On Wednesday 20 March 2024 at 7.30pm in the Berwick Baptist Church, The Golden Square Singers are holding a concert to celebrate 200 years of the RNLI, where they will share a selection of music and verse from their repertoire.

The event has free entry but donations can be made to Berwick-upon-Tweed RNLI.

Continuing with the RNLI 200 year celebrations, Berwick-upon-Tweed RNLI is holding an Exhibition celebrating the charity that saves lives at sea.

The Exhibition will be held over two days on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March from 10am to 4pm at Berwick-upon-Tweed lifeboat station.

Entry is free and refreshments and souvenirs will be available.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives.
