Stewart Travers, President of the Rotary Club of the Isle of Sheppey, presented a cheque for £200, to mark 200 years of the RNLI, to the Coxswain and crew of the all-weather lifeboat Judith Copping Joyce on Sunday 17 March 2024.

Whilst the crew were still assembled, they were surprised by a further donation in the form of a cheque totalling £850 which was handed over by Chris Collier, husband of Rachel who is one of our crew members and onboard at the time.

This money was raised at a Masonic Ladies Night which was held at the RNLI College in Poole last October, where donations on the night totalled £600. This was then ‘topped up’ by a further donation of £250 from the Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons Charity.

The Coxswain and Crew thank all involved for their generous donations to the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea.
