Lymington Lifeboat responds to head injury aboard yacht
On Saturday 23 March, the Lymington Lifeboat Crew were tasked to the mouth of the Lymington River, where a yachtsman had suffered a head injury.
The David Bradley Atlantic 85 Lifeboat and her four crew launched quickly and arrived at the 36ft yacht with casualty just 12 minutes after the pagers had sounded.
Helm James Douch brought the lifeboat alongside the yacht so casualty care trained crewmen Phil Baker and Greg Pachany could board the yacht to assess the injury.
Once safely back in Lymington harbour, the casualty was monitored until he was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Crew: James Douch (Helm), Phil Baker, Greg Pachany & Ollie Janson
