RNLI Beaumaris lifeboat visited by members of Sub-Aqua Clubs
Members from British Sub-Aqua Clubs in north Wales and northwest England called at the RNLI Beaumaris lifeboat station just prior to the lifeboat launching on exercise and donated funds to the RNLI.
This has become an annual visit to the station when they give the volunteers at Beaumaris RNLI a donation.
Dave Parry from Chester Sub Aqua club today handed over a donation of £1,200 to the Beaumaris Volunteer Lifeboat Operations Manager Tim Bailey with a further cheque for £200 to follow from the Buxton Sub Aqua Club.
Dave Parry has previously said, ‘the Menai Boat Run enables local BSAC Clubs from the Northwest and Anglesey to test their Boats at the beginning of the Dive season and have a fish and chip lunch’,
Tim Bailey for the Beaumaris Lifeboat said ‘As a charity the RNLI relies on donations just like this one from the local British Sub-Aqua Club members and the other donors. Everyone at the station is hugely appreciative of this gesture, which will help us save more lives at sea.’
