Seahouses RNLI called to assist tourists on Holy Island Causeway
At 3:10pm on Thursday 9 May 2024, UK Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses inshore lifeboat, to a report from members of the public of two people on a motorcycle, cut off by the tide on Holy Island Causeway.
The Fire Service made contact with the two casualties and advised them to go into the Refuge Box. On arrival of the lifeboat, the two casualties were taken aboard the lifeboat and landed safely on the mainland, into the care of the Coastguard Rescue Teams. The lifeboat then returned to station.
